  1. You must mark an entry in Browse mode for it to show up in Layout mode or print.

  3. In Browse mode, the square before each entry is the Mark icon.  If it is filled, the entry is marked; if it is clear, the entry is unmarked and will not display in Layout mode or print.

  5. By default, all new entries are automatically marked.  You can turn off this option from the Mark Categories dialog box in the Entry menu.

  7. There are several ways to mark and unmark entries:

  9. 1. Click the Mark icon before each entry you want
  10.     to mark or unmark.
  11.  
  12. 2. Click the Mark icon at the upper left corner
  13.     next to the field header names to mark or
  14.     unmark all entries.
  15.  
  16. 3. Select the entries and choose Mark Selection or
  17.     Unmark Selection from the Entry menu.
  18.  
  19. 4. To mark or unmark entries of a specific
  20.     category, choose Mark Categories from the
  21.     Entry menu.  This does not affect entries in
  22.     other categories.  See the  subtopic “Mark
  23.     Categories” under “Entry menu” to learn how
  24.     to use this command.
